When I first started with metalsmithing, I fell in love with the look of museum quality artifacts, the colors and textures really stoke the creative fires and this piece started as me playing with a sheet of copper and a torch. The details came later, the almost micro texturing behind the panel on the front and the hand woven wire closure that reminded me of a corset. The raised image on the front is a Celtic maze, hand painted in complimentary colors and attached via eyelets to a complimentary textured brass plate.
